Start your tour at Jvari Monastery, a 6th-century orthodox monastery near Mtskheta. Listed as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO, the monastery stands on a rocky mountain above the confluence of the Mtkvari and Aragvi rivers, overlooking Mtskheta, the old capital of Georgia.
Continue to Zhinvali Water Reservoir, located on the Georgian Military Highway. Learn the history of this Soviet dam, constructed in the 1980s. Then, arrive at the Ananuri Fortress, the seat of the Eristavis (Dukes) of Aragvi. Discover the intriguing plots of this feudal dynasty that ruled the area from the 13th century. Explore the site of numerous historic battles and take in the magnificent scenery — ideal for landscape photography.
After Ananuri Fortress, have lunch in Pasanauri, the homeland of the most famous traditional Georgian food, Khinkali. Admire the Friendship Monument of Georgian and Russian people in Gudauri. Located on the Georgian Military Highway between Gudauri ski resort and the Jvari Pass, the memorial consists of a large round stone arch and concrete structure overlooking the Devil’s Valley in the Caucasus Mountains.
Then, arrive at Kazbegi, and explore one of the most beautiful places in Georgia: Gergeti Trinity Church. The church is located under Kazbegi Mountain, 2170 meters above sea level, and offers spectacular panoramic views of the entire valley. Enjoy the serene natural beauty of this isolated marvel.

What a fantastic day! We booked the trip the day before and the tour company was great. Baya got in touch with us via WhatsApp and sent the itinerary and pick up time. Our guide David was brilliant! Great with the kids all day, which is no mean feat, as they are non-stop!
Every stop we made was amazing. The country is absolutely beautiful and far exceeded expectations. The last stop at Rooms Hotel Kezbegi was the perfect way to round off the day with good food and great wine.
We would recommend this trip to anyone, even those with young kids (ours are 7 and 4).
We will be back again

We’re glad to have been with this tour on our last day in Tbilisi. It was well organized, in a small group of six travellers. the tour itinerary was nicely paced with interesting stops, and just about enough time for each. At no point did we feel forced to visit some shops or uninteresting „fillers“.
Georgi was our guide. He’s knowledgeable, friendly and professional. Aside from the excellent stories for each visited place, he always has some interesting tidbits to share when we asked. We wish him the best, and would love to have him as our tour guide again one day.
We decided for the rafting, before lunch. It was a nice little trip down the stream, nothing strenuous. And the scenery—fields of wild flowers in a vibrant green valley—was stunning.
The roads from and back to Tbilisi could be quite steep and winding, and pending the weather, require careful maneuvering. However, the driver was good at handing both the van and the 4×4. I normally experience some level of car sickness when sitting in such a vehicle, but it was surprisingly a smooth and comfortable ride.
All in all, highly recommended.
